As inspiration for visualizations of "The Old Old Man" canoeing, the famous T.V. Public Service Ad from the "Keep America Beautiful" initiative of 1971 was brought-up on-screen from YouTube by Mr. Stathis and paused at a part at which the children then drew their pictures. Their pictures are tied to a very emotional scene in the story.
Mr. Stathis aims to publish The Canoe Village in the year 2029.
